The Debate is based on whether we believe the Market controls Teens or the Teens control the Market. I believe the Market Controls Teens. I formed my argument based on the fact that the Market produces addicting products that are very time consuming, the market produces models with "perfect bodies" that teens feel pressured to have, and the market produces small updates to their products to make them more desirable and teens keep trying to get the newest product. In that way, the market controls teens' time, body image, and money. I supported my points with statistics on the amount of time and money teens spend on media and other market products.
